Who we are
This site is operated by Melipona Bacalar (the “Hotel,” “we,” “us”), a hospitality project based in Bacalar, Quintana Roo, Mexico. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at hola@meliponabacalar.com.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us through our forms: your email address, and where you provide them, your name, preferred dates, and any message. The site is pre-launch and does not take bookings or payments.
Why we collect it
- To add you to our founding-interest waitlist and contact you about the opening, the Founders’ offer, and related updates.
- To respond to enquiries you send us.
Our legal basis is your consent, given when you submit a form. You can withdraw it at any time — use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or email us directly.
Who can see it
Form submissions are processed and stored by our website host, Netlify, acting as our service provider. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We may disclose data if required by law.
Your rights
Under Mexico’s data-protection law (LFPDPPP) you have ARCO rights — to Access, Rectify, Cancel, or Object to the use of your personal data. If you are in the EU/UK, the GDPR gives you similar rights, including access, correction, deletion, and portability. To exercise any of these, email hola@meliponabacalar.com.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we are operating, or until you ask us to remove it or unsubscribe. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us at any time to be removed.
